We have been busy behind the scenes planning for The 5th Fuse International Conference.
Based on the current uncertainty about the pandemic and when international travel is allowed and safe again, we have regrettably decided to postpone the conference again. We considered various options in time and format (face-to-face, online, hybrid) and concluded that the conference would not be feasible to deliver face-to-face until 15-16 June 2022.
We felt that face-to-face delivery would be the preferred format for the conference, given the interactive nature of our programme and general ‘Zoom-fatigue’ amongst participants; after a long year of online meetings and events, we are really looking forward to welcoming you in person! We appreciate that this will be disappointing news, but hope you agree that the safety of contributors and participants is paramount.
To keep you involved in the conference planning and give you a sneak peek of what the programme could look like, we are planning an online 3-hour event on Zoom on 22 September 2021 (16:00-19:00 GMT+1; to accommodate for various international time zones), which is one of the intended dates for the conference this year. This free online taster event will bring together a panel of international experts to reflect on knowledge exchange responses in public health to the pandemic. The event will be an opportunity to meet other participants, members of the planning groups and to share your knowledge exchange experiences over the past year, in preparation for the full conference in 2022.
