LATE Call for Abstracts
- You can still submit!

We are excited to announce a late-breaking call for abstracts for the European Implementation Event 2025! This is your final opportunity to contribute to the programme and share your work with the implementation community.

The call will close on April 30, 2025 – or earlier if capacity is reached. Submissions will be assessed on a rolling basis, so submit soon!

We especially encourage the submission of creative, boundary-pushing work that explores new and innovative approaches to implementation and makes people stop and think. This is your chance to challenge conventions, rethink what’s possible, and inspire change. How can we think differently about implementation – across sectors, systems, and settings? What bold ideas, fresh perspectives, or unconventional methods are helping bridge the gap between evidence and practice?

We welcome contributions from researchers, practitioners, policymakers, creatives, and those working in the spaces in-between. If your project sparks curiosity, challenges assumptions, or finds new ways to make knowledge matter, we want to hear from you.

Submit your abstract today and shape the conversation at EIE2025!

Accepted formats:

In a P3—Promise, Progress, Problems session, event attendees learn about promising implementation work that may be in progress or has already generated interesting findings. Accepted presenters will present a poster based on a 4-minute lightning talk. Presenters will be grouped (4-5 oral presenters per group) by topic and assigned a moderator; delegates participate in a 10–15-minute Q&A following all presentations.

The EIE2025 Implementation Slam is for those with a passion for creative, entertaining implementation knowledge dissemination. An implementation slam presentation lasts four minutes and builds on the use of creative, artistic elements that are uncommon in our standard science presentations. The goal is to spread implementation knowledge in easily relatable ways and win over the audience – because they will vote on all presentations. The science slammer who receives the most applause wins the science slam! An example of a slam can be found here (Ossama Khalaf at the #56 Science Slam Berlin). Please note that the Science Slam takes place as part of the event opening on Wednesday, June 4th, late afternoon.

Please use the EIE2025 submission templates provided here when preparing your abstract and send your submission to [email protected].

All other calls for abstracts are closed ...

Thank you for all your EIE2025 submissions! We received many, many great contributions and are currently finalising the event program.

We will be in touch with all accepted speakers with further information and instruction regarding your presentations closer to the event. In the meanwhile, if you have any questions about your abstract submission, please contact us via email.
