EIC ECIP Working Group Work Session

The ECIP working group is excited to announce our plans for a joint project: creating a comprehensive roadmap to support Early Career Implementation Professionals (ECIPs) as they begin their journey in the field. This roadmap will address practical steps for getting started—both in implementation research and practice—highlight essential resources, and outline the core competencies expected of ECIPs. We aim to build on existing materials and expertise within our community and have already kicked this project off in our online working group meetings; it will be progressed during this EIE2025 Working Group Session. Old and new members are welcome to join us!

Date: Wednesday, June 4th
Time: 10.30 – 12.00
Where: Brinkburn Brewery, Newcastle (pre-event venue)

EIE2025: Our Jump Start Session

The EIE2025 Jump Start Session is based on the Society for Implementation Research Collaborative’s (SIRC) Implementation Development Workshop (IDW). The aim is for a small group of implementation researchers to present an “in progress” project they are developing and receive real-time, safe, structured feedback from a facilitated panel of content and methods experts.

The Jump Start Session is by invitation only.

Date: Wednesday, June 4th
Time: 12.30 – 15.30
Where: Brinkburn Brewery, Newcastle (pre-event venue)

EIE2025 Implementation Science Slam

The Implementation Science Slam offers a unique and lively platform for researchers and practitioners to share their work with a broad audience in an entertaining and accessible way. Science slammers—our enthusiastic presenters—have just five minutes to showcase their work in a brief, impactful presentation. Creativity is highly encouraged, and presenters are invited to depart from traditional formats by incorporating innovative and memorable elements into their presentations. Best of all, the audience plays a central role: by voting with their applause, they choose the winning presentation. Join us for a session where research meets creativity—and help crown the next EIE2025 Science Slam Winner!

Science Slammers were selected through our call for abstracts. The Science Slam is part of the EIE2025 Opening on the pre-event day.

Date: Wednesday, June 4th
Time: 17.00 – 18.30
Where: Brinkburn Brewery, Newcastle (pre-event venue)
