The NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) South London is a research organisation that brings together researchers, health and social care practitioners, and local people to improve health and social care in south London. We aim to help local NHS and social care services offer excellent care, based on sound evidence. We also provide training in implementation and improvement science to help put research evidence into practice.

The Implementation and Innovation Research Group (IIR) is a multi-disciplinary research group based at Northumbria University (UK) focused on undertaking and developing approaches to implementation and improvement research, and knowledge mobilisation. The group’s work ranges from initiation, scoping and development of novel ideas for service, therapeutic and care innovations, to feasibility studies, pilot and full trials with embedded process evaluations, as well as the scaling up and scaling out of evidence-based interventions.

Fuse, the Centre for Translational Research in Public Health, brings together the five North East Universities in the UK of Durham, Newcastle, Northumbria, Sunderland and Teesside in a unique collaboration to deliver world-class research to improve health and wellbeing and tackle inequalities. The German Speaking Implementation Association - Implementierungsnetzwerk für Forschung und Praxis (INFo↔P) - was founded in April 2017 to connect individuals interested in implementation research and practice in the German-speaking world. The overarching goal of the network is to promote scientific approaches to the implementation of evidence-based interventions more widely in German-speaking countries.

The Norwegian Network for Implementation Research (NIMP) was launched in 2020 to connect Norwegian researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and others interested in implementation science within health and welfare and share knowledge from implementation research among its members. NIMP aims to raise awareness about implementation science in Norway, promote sharing and exchange of knowledge from implementation research, and provide forums for people and institutions to connect and form collaborations.

The Portuguese Implementation Science Network, coordinated by the National School of Public Health-NOVA University of Lisbon (NSPH-UNL), is dedicated to advancing the field of implementation science in Portugal. The Network aims to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange to advance innovation, development, application, and dissemination of evidence-based practices in healthcare system and community settings, bridging the gap between research and practice. The multidisciplinary network brings together academic institutions, researchers, healthcare providers, public and private organisations, policymakers, and civil society.

The Danish Implementation Network (DIN) was founded on 30 August 2012. The founders wanted to put implementation on the agenda as an independent discipline in welfare research and practice. DIN is a cross-sectoral association for everyone who is engaged in providing services to citizens and in this connection strives to build a bridge between research-based knowledge and daily practice. DIN creates and shares knowledge, skills and opportunities for dialogue about implementation and supports the connection between research and practice.

The Institute for Implementation Science in Health Care (IfIS) contributes to the optimization of health care and improved translation of evidence into practice. Our implementation science teaching, research, and training aims to accelerate the integration of research findings into health care and embed them in a sustainable way, as well as removing low-value practices from health care. We want to bring digital innovations to patients and create digital interventions to improve community health and well-being.
